报告内容摘要：Fluid-structure interaction Research group (FSI) at the School of Computer Science, Mathematics and Engineering, City University London (CUL), is one international leading group in numerically modelling fluid-structure interaction. The presentation introduces how high performance computing is merged in the research of the hydrodynamics at City. It focuses on the worldwide challenges in numerical modelling of the wave-structure interaction problems, e.g. the renewable energy, marine transportation and so on, summarizes the relevant researches carried out by FSI and explores the future actions.。

报告人简介：

严世强,博士,分别于1999、2004年获得大连海事大学学士、硕士学位，于2007年获得英国伦敦城市大学博士学位，后任职于英国伦敦城市大学，并于2013年8月晋升为高级讲师（Senior Lecturer）。

严博士的研究领域为水力问题的数学建模，包括虚拟波浪水池和心脏模拟等。2004年至今，以负责人身份（PI）承担2项英国ESPRC项目，并以主要参与人员身份参与3项ESPRC项目，已发表50余篇国际知名期刊和学术会议论文。
